Life after heart attack and stents

I would say that it was a year before I felt a hundred per cent better after only one heart attack and a subsequent stent. I found afternoon snoozes very beneficial! Don’t rush yourself and you will get there in your own time.

This is perfectly normal. It will improve.

Ive had two heart attacks over the last three years. I agree, an afternoon snooze is inevitable.
Try and build your stamina up, with walking short distances.

Well DH was told by his cardiologist to ensure he had an afternoon rest after his heart attack and stent procedure.

Tiredness is perfectly normal after a serious illness and you should follow your body’s guidelines - feel tired? Rest

I had another cardiac episode recently and spent time in hospital, where I was given a good piece of advice.
Im not good at pacing myself, often overdoing things.
Take ten spoons, button, any small item and lay them out.
Each item represents a small task, like doing the washing up/dusting/ hair washing etc. When you have spread the tasks over the day and you have no items left, rest!
