Hoping not to need to go the medication route

I would have another one if you can. See if that helps.

We did have a break but wasn’t totally well enough to enjoy it but thinking about another one
I think the points about pacing yourself and being kind are very appropriate ! Can be frustrating however

When was the last time you had a break/holiday?

I think you sound like you could have some level of depression

I have to go back to the doctor as I'm having the same issues with lethargy and disinterest, well I'm putting it off anyway

I've been tablet free for a while and hoped to stay that way

Hi, Horti. We've had several years of family health issues and other challenges topped off with Covid in April last year which took DH till Christmas to being to begin to recover from. We then caught the constantly coughing terribly debilitating virus at the beginning of January causing us to postpone visits from friends and family planned for February and March.... However we learned to rest after 20 mins or so's activity, not to overdo things/push ourselves too much and nap when necessary. Feeling a little better we decided to have a full family gathering at a central point at the beginning of last month and have come back so energized that we are planning another in August, beginning to tackle the build up of neglect around the house and take an interest in things outside the home as well. We still need to pace ourselves, though. I really think the trick is to take it slowly and that our bodies and minds needed a rest after all the family ups and downs of the last 7 years. Be kind to yourself.

Motivation seems to become more problematic, the older we get. When I retired, I got a dog. I haven't managed to hit my weekly step target yet, so I need to take her for a quick walk. Not exactly motivated, but I will do it.

Been retired several years always kept active and involved with things even during the pandemic ( where possible )

Had a few nasty bugs in succession a while back after which have found it difficult to regain energy etc and still finding motivation is low for the basics at home etc could be just boredom !
Never been one for routine really …

Trying to exercise in moderation and picking up on activities and social engagement again but feel stuck in a bit of lethargy and disinterest ….

Anyone had similar and how did they shift this ?

Had some heavy family responsibilities to deal with for quite a while alongside this which have caused some stress and these will continue
