The date was wrong! My appointment was in the general urogynae clinic so I did not have the test. However the nurse was lovely and very reassuring, so I’m glad I went. Due to have the actual test in a couple of weeks. My urinary problems are definitely getting worse, I’m 67 and the nurse said they need to be dealt with as they won’t go away and best to have it managed now whilst I am, as she put it ‘still relatively young and healthy!’. I have a cystocele too.

Did you get that the wrong way round Hithere?

Takes little time too

I'm another one who had urodynamic tests. Like Moonwatcher, I didn't have any problems with the procedure - just slightly embarrassing.

Also experienced this. Admittedly some years ago. I was very anxious, the nursing staff put me completely at ease. Dignity very well preserved. I found the procedure interesting and was entertained by staff reminiscing over ‘bladder capacities we have known’ in a very general way. The outcome was both helpful and reassuring. Try not to be terrified sallyw, it will be much easier than you fear.

I had to see the urodynamic dept years ago. The nurses were lovely and the procedure was more embarassing than anything but they put you at ease. It wasn't painful at all just a little discomfort when they fill your bladder. No need to be terrified. I hope all goes well for you. x

Thanks. I’ve had bladder issues for some time, so hopefully the cause will be found! Up three times a night,I get exhausted!

Sally I had to Google that. It doesn't sound terrifying? Just interesting! smile I'm sure the staff will be very kind.

Perhaps someone with more knowledge than me will comment soon.

Due to have this on Wednesday. I’m terrified! Is this justified?
