Just turned 76, and I'm afraid the aches and pains go with the territory. No chronic pain yet, though, as some of my friends suffer from, so I'm not complaining. Occasionally take a couple of paracetamol with my breakfast cuppa, just to take the edge off. I also take multi-vitamins, cod liver oil capsules and one a day garlic tabs, but don't honestly know if they help, as they've just become a habit. Been warned off ibuprofen. I find that gentle exercise does help somewhat.. mainly a long walk with the pooches. A good mattress is also important, as I found recently after a week in a rental cottage on a poor one left me crippled after a couple of nights. Ah, the joys of ageing.. but as someone has already said, it's better than the alternative.
