fibreglass cast too loose?

I broke my ankle 3 weeks ago and had the first cast replaced with a new one a week ago. At the Fracture Clinic 2 days ago they were pleased with how things are going and I don't have to go back for another 3 weeks,

However it now feels that the new cast is a bit looser and there is a bit of movement in the foot /heel area under it
.It is a half leg cast and is still snug where it meets my knees and toes.
I phoned the fracture clinic who told me to go to A and E if I am worried. Not easy when I am virtually immobile!

Has anyone had experience of this they could share with me?

I think they normally loosen as swelling goes down but if you can move the immobilised joint or there is new pain then it's too loose and needs changing

could you ask someone to drive you to A&E, if needed, or get a cab.

It does need to be supportive, not tight or loose.

Thanks for replying.
Am upstairs at the moment and can't really get downstairs.I have been having hospital transport to get to my appointments which means been carried up and downstairs.
I might phone the clinic again and explain the situation better, see if they will organise transport.
