I know I need to see my doctor but up to my neck with windows being replaced etc. This happened a couple of times recently but today it’s been happening throughout the day. It’s as if there’s an electric shock in my ankle that shoots up my leg for a second and then goes. It started in the night when my leg was raised. It happened on my other leg in my thigh a couple of times. I’ve never had a pain like this before; it’s like a trapped nerve. Don’t like anything that seems to be a bit neurological sad

Intermittent Claudication. Have you been diagnosed with arterial disease of any type because IC is a complication of this caused by restricted blood flow to the lower limbs. The pain is felt on exercise and in the later stages as resting pain. The pain is worse at night and is relieved by dangling the affected limb over the edge of the bed, or sleeping in a chair with your legs down. If you think this might be the cause it’s important you see your GP as soon as you can because there can be complications if it’s left untreated.

That’s what worried me when I had a shooting pain in my other leg. I was going to try to see my doctor but it didn't come back. I’ll keep a record of what’s happening and try to get an appointment when I’ve had the windows fitted. I’m due for some kind of check up: apart from having vaccinations I haven’t seen a doctor for years. I can’t be I’ll at the moment…I haven’t even got a bed to be ill in!
