Covid has eradicated my eyebrows!

Lost mine years ago, after I had to have a Hysterectomy and had to stop my HRT.
But on the plus side, also my leg and arm hair, so saved a bit on leg waxing.
Had my eyebrows Microbladed back on, my hairline has also reduced, so my hairdresser sorts, by careful cutting,band shaping.
Doubt it's Covid just normal changes as you get older.

I think this is actually telogen effluvium and it's actually very commonly linked to stress (body or mind).

The main reason people lose hair after COVID is a medical condition called telogen effluvium. This is a type of hair shedding that happens a few months after stressful life events, like having a baby, a surgery, or an illness. It usually starts about 2 months after a COVID infection, and it can last up to 6 months.

My husband and a friend (years ago) lost hair after stressful periods in life. Both came back slowly (longer than 6 months though). Apparently a fever can cause it too.

If you look it up on Google Scholar you will find lots of articles about it.

If it is covid related I think it seems like it will eventually run its course.

Hair loss in older women is common and more to do with hormones than Covid.

The outer halves of mine have thinned a lot. I just pencil them in lightly.
Nothing to do with covid in my case.

Nothing to do with COVID for me. Just natural fading. I use a brownish/greyish eyeshadow applied by a small brush to my remaining eyebrows. It looks very natural and thus returns some shape to my face.

I lost my eyebrows 25 years ago due to thyroid cancer.

It looks perfectly natural.

I have similar. I lost all my eyebrows 4 months after getting covid19. I live on Maine and have worked in nursing off and on for over 20 yrs. In my State here in US we didn't top 5000 people passing away from covid19 from 2020 to 2023 last total I saw was 4,300. In that span of time. Yet out of 1.3 million people during that time in my state over 80% that I am aware of got Covid19 in one for or another.
I had it in Feb 2020 and Variant in Dec 2021 no other sickness in between or since. I have been having hair thinning in 2 spots since April 2022 2inch by 3inch spot Rosemary works as much as it can..stress Well I don't get stressed about illness, I have lived an unusual life where stress was every day. So that counts that out . Plus no other sickness counts that out. It us my personal ( professional knowledge opinion) RNA helps most things in our body communicate. Our Hair being one of them . Many people in Maine out of 900,000 who go the vaccine. I was not one because I had already had covid19 out of 900,000 the total I can find reported for hair issues along with approx 450,000 people having covid19 female wise about 60% have reported some type of hair loss 60% is not normal prior to covid19 that would be 6 out of every 10 women you know. Prior to covid I knew and spoke to on a weekly bases 25 women. Out if them no one had hair issues. Now 4 if us do .. so 60% either way now or then sounds like a bit if a reach. But I'd it us close even ir mot those of us suffering permanently altered hair issues need to be heard and treated 8 dermatologist offices here in Maine said its common with stress u will.be fine refused to even see me. My blood work all comes back fine. There are more of use Ants than Grasshopers any day. So if anyone wants support or might know.of alternatives.

I'm not sure if it was the Covid I caught at the beginning of the pandemic or the Covid vaccine but my hair has thinned massively and especially around the hairline. My hairdresser says it has happened to many of her clients. Sadly, I don't have a solution except for trying Rosemary and Castor Oil which may have stopped it getting any worse.
