Well I've been to the hospital with her today and she had a mammogram and a scan. All clear just nothing more than tissue probably because of her age. What a relief for us all.

Moonwatcher - I doubt it’s anything serious but she should see her GP about it. A couple of years ago, I had blood coming out of one nipple. Was referred immediately, had the biopsy /operation. Thank Heaven it turned out to be a benign cyst. Hope your daughter sees the Doctor and gets the reassurance she needs x

Thankyou Ladies. I told her it is probably a cyst after all this time. I have one but never had treatment on it. I will keep you all posted if we get to know what it is. xx

What a worry for you both. Dragonfly is probably right, if it hasn't changed in two years it might well be ok but she must get it checked asap. This happened to my daughter several years ago, she had a bit of a wait to have the mammogram and see a Consultant so we paid privately, she was seen within 48 hours and given the all clear. You shouldn't have to do that but sometimes it's worth not having to sit and worry for several weeks. Things may have speeded up since then, I think we paid £400. Hope all goes well.

I think here the Walk In is more efficient than our doctors. Send her a text to go to nearest Walk In the doctors may not be available at the weekend. Hope your DD is seen straight away and it turns out to be not serious as it often is not.

When I was recalled after a mammogram there were 12 women in the waiting room with breast lumps. Out of those only 2 had cancer. I was one. All the others had breast cysts which were easily treated.
Your daughter needs to see her GP as soon as possible.
Either her mind will be put at rest or she will have treatment which is very good these days.

It's very difficult I went through this with my mum. All you can do is encourage her to go to a Gp. We still have no idea how long my mum had a lump. It was cancer, she had treatment and was fine. Some people find it hard to seek help.

When I found lumps on separate occasions, my GP sent me right away to the breast clinic, where a mammogram and biospy was done.
I don't know what has been like since Covid.

Your poor daughter was probably too afraid of what it might be. Please encourage her to see someone.
On each occasion fortunately mine turned out to be cysts and on one occasion, scar tissue.

If it hasn't changed or got bigger in 2 years it is unlikely to be anything serious but she must get it checked out as soon as possible.
Not sure what else you can do apart from advising her. She must be ready to see someone as she has told you about it.
