I just wondered whether there are any Dr's Pharmacists, on here that would understand why one of my medications was rejected, and I received another instead? Completely unrelated.
My last Repeat Prescriptions were ordered on March 4th. I had also put a note to the Dr asking whether it was possible to have the tablets in easy to open foil packs. Some have to be opened with the tip of a knife. I was told that I could try, for 1 month, to have them in a Nomad? pack.
As I had received nothing by Sat, I phoned the pharmacy and was told they had not yet been put into this Nomad pack. When I asked if I could pick them up on Sunday midday, in the normal packaging, it was affirmed.
When I checked them at home, I prescription was missing and 1 had been added.
This is one that I order intermittently, as required. I phoned the pharmacy and was advised that it was the Dr who would have rejected this medication. So, this morning I spoke to the surgery and she didn't know why this had occurred, but has ordered the missing meds and will ask why the rejection.
Has anyone else had this happen to them? It is most disconcerting when something like this happens and you have absolutely no idea why!
I will wait to see if I get an answer from the surgeryany time soon.
