Doodle Hope things are better with your husband today.

It's now bright and sunny after a dull, grey, cold start. I did aqua, went for brunch, and will start packing for a few days away (going tomorrow). Hope ALL BDers have seen a bi of sunshine.

So weary of waking up and forcing to koko, but somehow at the supermarket pick up a jumper.

Awful morning. DH had high temp and very chesty. Couldn’t take meds as coughing with swallowing. They are concerned about him and are calling in the meds team to seek advice.
Hope you all have an enjoyable bank holiday.

It's a bright, sunny morning, I've been awake since 5.30 but have been wasting time faffing about. DH is still asleep! Meeting Son2 and his family at country park, where there's an old-fashioned fair (swingboats, merry-go-round, etc., on.
Taking a picnic lunch. Hope ALL BDers manage to see the sunshine today. x

Doodle I'm hoping with you for a better day tomorrow. I can only imagine how hard it is for you to watch your DH like this. Hope is sometimes all we have though faith is stronger I think. How to hold on to it in such circumstances must be so difficult. I just want to hug you Doodle. You are in my heart and prayers.
I wrote much more but deleted it as emotions getting the better of me.
I hope you gain strength with a sound sleep and your DH feels better tomorrow. X

DH not feeling great. Antibiotics always upset his stomach and he felt sick this morning. Still asleep most of the day. Hoping for a better day tomorrow.

EllieAnne- Ah hope your little cat soon starts to improve. Leave him another day or 2 before having any tests done he may start eating again. It’s horrible to see a loved pet in distress.

SweetPeaSue- Sorry the pain has reared its head yet again. It must have felt disheartening after a couple of good days. Thank goodness it’s settling again.
Your DH is probably enjoying being outside and occupied - as long as he doesn’t overdo it. What a nuisance about Monday as I expect now you would rather wait for “your” Dr. Hope you have a comfortable night.

SweetpeaSue Hope your husband can see the doctor f2f another day (would that be possible?) Or at a push, get advice/medication from one on a Zoom/telephone call.

EllieAnne That's not old. Cats don't generally drink much anyway, but would he be tempted by some tuna (oil or spring water, NOT brine, it's too salty for cats), a bit of cooked chicken, or even some different wet food? I agree, it wouldn't be fair to put him through a lot of tests.

The cat is not old about 8 or 9. The vet couldn’t find anything wrong. He’s not dehydrated which I don’t understand because he’s not been drinking. Temperature ok. He looked at his food today and seems a bit better. I don’t want to put him through a lot of tests if not necessary

HVDY Pain settled down now thanks. Was just upset because I'd had a reasonable couple of days and then it barges back in reminding me its staying. Worried about DH too doing the garden work alone. Been an idiot and completely forgot about the bank holiday which is awkward as don't think our Dr does Tuesday.
Sounds like you had a lovely day with your family. Glad your DILs eyesight is better too.

EllieAnne How old is your cat? If he/she is elderly, it might be nearing the end of his/her life. What does the vet think is wrong?

Had a very nice day. It was very sunny and warm. Went to Son1's, he did a BBQ, with home-made burgers. I think I drank too much Pimm's . We then called in to see Son2 and family for an hour - baby gets excited when she sees us. DIL still has sore eyes but her vision is less blurry. Hope everyone's been ok x

Cat hasn’t eaten since Tuesday morning. He’s been sick a few times but nothing in his stomach now. He’s listless . Vet gave him an anti sickness injection and sachets to put on his food but it’s made no difference.

Wyllow Good to see your post. You are thinking aloud by coming in though so sorry it still feels scary.
So annoying when you lose words you're wanting to say. Think it was accidental -not sure.
You will get better -hope you see your worker this week.x

Doodle Thankyou for telling us about your DH and hope he is still brighter today without so much pain.

Not a good night because of pain so finally slept and got up late only to find ot started again. So frustrated taken more pain relief and DH is out there now doing garden work alone ,so worried.
Took aunt out yesterday morning and DH had headaches. They seem to come and stab in the temples and leave him with a sort of brain fog.
