111 Emergency prescriptions

I have been having a bad time recently and have had to call 111 a few times.
The first time I was prescribed 2 mg tablets of Diazepam via my own Drs surgery, for 2 days. These didn't help and so I was prescribed 5mg tablets for 5 days, plus Oramorph, 3 x a day.
Being advised to contact a Dr if needed, 24 hours after the first call. Which I did this afternoon. 12.20Pm ish.
After waiting, nothing had happened. I have just rung again, just after 4 pm and have been told it could take up to 6 hours to receive a call back. By which time my pharmacy will have closed.
These tablets run out tonight, and I have been trying to get a prescribing Dr to call me back, to issue a top up, until I see a Sue Ryder Nurse, early this week? ( could be MON-WED?)
Is there anything more that I could have done?
I am supposed to be having a blood test tomorrow morning.

Wow, wonders will never cease. I have just had a phone call from an out of hours Dr and she is sending a prescription a toss to our pharmacy. DH will go and collect.
Fingers crossed for a decent night's sleep.
Apologies for my rambling, but I have been despairing of my meds need ever being heard.

I’m so glad that you will have the medication, but what a difficult and worrying time you’ve had. I can imagine the relief. Things always happen at the weekend don’t they? I hope you soon feel better, that you get a good night’s sleep and that your blood test results will be good. 💐
