Hi everyone, I'm hoping for some guidance here please. Approximately 12 months ago, mainly in the evening I would start to feel nauseous, feel pain travelling up between my breasts and round to the sort of below the shoulder blade on the right side. More often than not I would end up throwing up. This whole process could take around 2 hours. It wasn't every night, sometimes it would happen first thing in the morning. Although more common of an evening. At first I thought it might be down to stress as we were selling our house and buying elsewhere. I found sometimes sipping bicarb dissolved in water helped. It carried on even after we moved. 10 days after moving I actually had such a bad episode that I walked into a medical centre and asked to see a GP. I must have looked bad (sweating profusely) that an ambulance was called. Everyone seemed to think it was my heart. It wasn't. Discharged next day and then started a whole load of testing. I think virtually every part of my body has been MRI'd, Ultra sounded, ex-rayed etc. Everything seems to be working fine. Had a gastroscopy, nothing definitive found. So GP started me on Creon 25000 and a probiotic. I've been on this since end of January. Since then have only thrown up twice. Had a couple of mild pain issues, but nothing a wheatie didn't sort out. I kept a food diary but couldn't seen anything that linked up. I have a fairly plain diet being a Type 2 Diabetic which I control with diet (lost 16kgs)Diagnose 23 months ago. Very rarely have take-away food, very rarely have bacon or highly processed food. My treat is a square of dark chocolate. When it was happening it wasn't every day, I even went almost 3 weeks without an episode, sometimes it would be 2/3 days in a row. The Gastroenterologist said it must be stress. I have always been thought of as a fairly stoic person. Whatever happens , just get on with it etc. Moving house is not stressful as such as have done it many times. Does anyone have any ideas please? I'm happy to keep taking prescribed medication as it does seem to be working. Thank you for reading all of this.
