UTI not going away! Help

I had an unresponsive UTI for months, the first antibiotic I was given was nitrofurontion which made me very sick. Several more were tried over the course of the four months and eventually it cleared up. I will definitely be purchasing D-mannose just in case, so thankyou for that information.

I buy Waterfall brand D-Mannose online. Amazon used to stock it, or buy direct from Waterfall. I had finished my antibiotics and found that they hadn't worked, so I wasn't taking it alongside them.

Some of the other/cheaper brands of D-Mannose are not as powerful I discovered.

As far as I know it's fine to take alongside anti-biotics, I certainly have done so

D-Mannose is what I swear but (Waterfall is just a brand name). You can buy D-Mannose on Amazon but, if you don’t want to wait, you can buy it at Holland & Barrett’s or maybe Boots.

Regarding taking it alongside antibiotics, I’m afraid I don’t know about that. It might be worth asking a pharmacist for advice.

Please don't limit your fluid intake, you need to drink as much as you can to flush your system.
I have taken D mannose for years and it really helps, easily purchased from Amazon or Health food shops.
I do not have any caffeine at all which is also helpful, I drink only decaff tea and coffee...
Have you started any new medication recently?
Amlodopine, prescribed for high blood pressure played havoc with my bladder.

Cranberry juice used to be an aid for cystitis, which is more specific than a UTI. Worth a try though. You have my sympathy. Hope it clears up for you soon.

Cranberry juice apparently. It used to be taken by all my elderly clients and they swore by it.

I just stop all drinks other than water until it clears up.

After 3 courses of antibiotics years ago, a friend suggested D-Mannose. I ordered some of that and it got rid of it. Since then I always keep some D-Mannose in the house to start if I have the slightest twinge.

Since then I've been clear for 14 years! The best D-Mannose is Waterfall brand I've found.
