Can eye drops make you sleepy.

Have been given 2 eye drops timolol and latanoprost to lower eye pressure. I am so sleepy all day since I started. Anyone else experience this. I think its lowering my BP too much. (It's already low).

Yes I have a friend on them, they make her really ill.

Some can c9ntain an ingredient that slows the heart rate and can then make you tired, best check and possibly change them if necessary.

When i had eye drops after my cateract op they had a number of side effects including severe tiredness I felt quite strange with them and they had to change me to some different ones and also cut down on the time i used them

I have had Lumigan eye drops to lower the pressure for about 6 years now, and have not noticed that they make me more tired. I put one drop in each eye immediately before going to bed.

Thanks Patsy, I'm not so tired now. Maybe the effect has worn off.
