I would only trust a blood test done by a phlebotomist as they take as many samples needed and take a vial full so plenty to test . If you are worried see your GP ,do an online consultant or speak to GP on the phone . Or ask your surgery to do a full blood test including a fasting cholesterol test. I always have a fasting cholesterol test as it gives better results than if you have eaten .

I've tried those tests too and found them tricky. It's hard to say if they're accurate without proper blood samples.

I have seen these tests in my local pharmacy but haven't bought one.

Was it positive for anaemia? This can be a serious condition so I would persist in trying for a blood test at the GP- they will do another anyway regardless of you having bought one.

I suspect someone is making a bit of money from them, but I doubt they would be foolproof in their accuracy.
