I know it’s a perpetual problem with us ladies ,but I am at a loss at what to do, I am 72 with at least 3stone to lose , I have always battled with my weight but now it’s beyond a joke. After trying SW, WW replacement meal plans etc, and having little success I saw the doctor who told me my 20+ years on Prozac has wrecked my metabolism Which I feel is a bit odd , but I really need to lose this weight abd don’t know which way to turn next. I do walk a lot but that my only exercise as I have heart disease so cannot do frantic exercise

I would download the Nutracheck app and track for food intake each day. Lots of information and recipes. You may be surprised at your eating habits and find ways to make positive changes to help you lose changes.

I have the same problem. I was referred to the obesity clinic at hospital due to my BMI. I had stuck strictly to Slimming World but lost hardly anything. The hospital identified I'm carb sensitive so the 'free' food on SW was allowing me too many calories. They actually offerred me a gastric sleeve at the hospital which I turned down. Instead I lost 3 stone on intermittent fasting and low carb but I'm always hungry.

A colleague at work has just had the gastric sleeve, she went to Turkey for it.
I asked her mother how she was getting on and apparently she has lost two stone already and it was only done a month ago
It’s something I would not have done because a gastric sleeve is for life and this girl is only in her mid 30s but she said she spoke to several people who had it done and she went with it🤷‍♀️
I think with this sort of operation, the easy bit has been done having a sleeve, but you’ve got to get it right in your head and I think that’s when the real journey will begin.
