Exhausted, weepy, disappointed at finding myself still alive in the morning.
OK, I'm 85 and don't expect to be brimming over with energy, I'm not overweight, don't smoke, seldom drink and have a healthy diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables.
That's me, I'm just tired, all the time.
I've been tired all the time for ages, well about 18 months.
I did mention it to my GP when she was doing a review of my drugs (arthritis) but all I got was a lecture on fast food and smoking (I don't). At my request she reluctantly took some bloods, which came back as 'normal'.
She almost, but didn't quite say What do you Expect at Your Age.

Is this it? All that's left?

Always worth getting things checked out.I have been treated for a serious illness this past year.Have pretty much come to the end of the treatment now, and things looking good - but I think if I had not been worried about the fatigue - and this had not led to other investigations by the GP I was lucky enough to see- things might be a lot worse for me than they seem to be at the moment. Good luck, and take care.

I had a blood test and it showed I have b12 deficiency.
Went for 6 injections. 3 one week and 3 the second week.
Felt great after a couple of days.
I now have one injection every 6 months.
I looked up on doctor Google and I had most of the symptoms of b12 deficiency.
I am in my 60's

I have PPS which results in exhaustion. However, I find that if I buckle down and do something eg. a bit of gardening, housework , baking or start on a project of some sort like making a fancy dress costume for my grandson’s world book day, , I generally become energised and feel better. A sense of achievement releases endorphins which, I think, helps overcome tiredness.
