I slipped and fell on a wet floor 10 days ago. The next morning I fainted and again hit the floor both unrelated issues and I have spoken to gp about the faint.

The bruise is horrible, covering a large area on the back of my leg and is preventing me from going swimming as I am so self conscious of it. I have tried arnica daily. Anyone have any useful tips to make it go quicker?

Bruises are haematoma’s which are caused by broken blood vessels and unfortunately you just have to wait until they basically drain themselves. As we get older we bruise more easily and it doesn’t help if, like me, you are a natural bleeder!

Allira It was the last pistachio that had not opened. I won't be doing that again!

I prise them open with my fingers! Sometimes it works.

So glad you've gone back to your 🏊 swimming, Sally, it will help to lift your spirits while you heal.
Bruise take their own time, I slipped coming out of the bath some years ago and ended up with a massive bruise like the map of France 🇫🇷 on my derriere, it took weeks to heal.

Glad to hear that you are seeing your doctor about your faint. Take care, lots of good advice on here for you. 🥰
