Interesting to listen to the BBC Parliament channel where they were discussing the shortage of dentists in the south west. Terrible figures particularly for children. Lots of areas described as dentist deserts.

There was a warning on our local news about scam adverts for Private Dentists, they are asking for a deposit along with personal information, sometimes passport details. I would be very careful.

Anyone else noticed private dentists are constantly advertising for new patients on FB? We live in Devon and come from South Glos and are seeing at least 3 or 4 adverts a day advertising for new patients with 'special offers' for 1st check up, and other treatments. The latest was £39 for a check up which is not much more than NHS. Are they short of trade now? When we moved here 5 years ago most private dentists were full and had waiting lists but not now. Still no NHS though. Are other areas seeing this?
