My friend has asked me to say that she’s overwhelmed by your empathy and concern and what a difference it makes when lovely strangers can lift you and give you fresh hope with their kindness.

Brought up as RC, the saying is "once a Catholic, always a Catholic", so although I don't attend Mass nowadays (for reasons other than religious) and don't pray often, I always do when asked. So I will say a prayer and hope it is heard.
