Consider my prayer list extended, Crosstitchfan. I am very sorry to hear of such a young child being so ill and I sincerely hope that the wonderful treatments available now are successful for them. I guess when one is in a very bad place and believes in the power of prayer, it is natural to ask friends here for help. My very best wishes to the little one.

Firstly Grandmafrench, of course I’ll put your friend’s husband on my prayer list. I’ve never underestimated the power of prayer, but what I’ve always tried to remember, too, is that sad as it is, one has to recognise that sometimes “no” is also an answer and so hard to bear. Secondly, I do understand where crosstitchfan is coming from, and feel for her sadness, too, another one to add. I wonder if there should perhaps be a special forum on GN for these sort of posts? Perhaps there is and I’ve never spotted it.
