Hi Sallywally, I'm sorry to hear you are suffering with this pain.
I have osteoarthritis in my lower back and recently my hip, it's very painful and limiting isn't it.
I try and add turmeric to as many things as I can and I try and avoid processed foods as much as possible. I always aim to drink 5 pints of water a day plus my usual cups of tea.
I've recently joined a gym. I think the movement is key. Low impact cardio machines and I also use the weight machines to try and build muscle.
Motion is lotion for the joints they say. Use it or lose it. These are my daily mantras.
I too have widespread osteoarthritis, I take turmeric and magnesium supplements and try (being operative word!) to keep active, I also have fibromyalgia and CFS, it tough, but I try hard not to give up. I find stretching exercises and heat pads also work well and for very pain pain Volterol (?) rub.
