The one I had doesn't appear to be working. Can anyone suggest a virbrator that works and doesn't tire the hands? It would be for my own use as my husband hasn't been interested in sex for many years. I am 74.

The government says we should all have an emergency kit. Tinned food, dried milk, matches , wind up radio, etc. Perhaps we should add a wind up vibrator to that. Just to pass the time, you understand .

Good idea and some chocolate. Do they come with a manual.

I dont think it's a wind up at all. It's convenient for those alone times when you feel the urge and better that scoffing chocolate 🍫

What a weird thing to post even if it's not a wind up!🤣

What’s a weird post?

Tried them once or twice. Didn't see the attraction myself. Yes I was doing it right and it was quite naice - but it was just a phase I was going through.

Retired65 I am glad you have asked this question as many of us use them but never discuss the matter with anyone. As we get older we may find that the vibrator too tricky to manage so need a different design. I looked up amazon and came to the conclusion that wands were easier to manage and now we have excellent advice from cookiemonster66 who is an expert. All I would say is that it is better to have one without a battery but if you have to plug the usb in the small end that goes in the vibrator can be tricky. It took me some time to find it. I can assure those who think fingers only are enough that having vibrations deep inside adds to the whole experience. I did look up the Gspot

I remember watching an American program where the best selling product at a widow’s conference was The Widow Wand.

hands up all those who clicked on cookiemonster's link. I bet there are a few who did (including me). I often used a vibrator as my husband couldn't always satisfy me but using one could.

Thanks a lot cookiemonster66.

I worked for Ann Summers for over 10 yrs, started off as a party organiser , then climbed the ranks to area manager. So there is not much I do not know about sex toys. Nowadays they are rechargeable, which is amazing. Batteries always run out at the most inappropriate moment, and wired ones which plug in are cumbersome and limit positions and distance from plug socket. I also have arthritis in my hands, and fibromyalgia, so my hand strength is limited. I recommend the magic wand style as they have many settings and can make wave pulses, and adjust strength of vibration according to how you like it. I will send a link to the one I have, which is also waterproof, so brilliant for keeping it clean, comes with a zip pouch storage case like a giant pencil case so it can be discreetly hidden in a drawer. It lasts ages on one charge, and Love Honey are a fantastic company, mega fast delivery and loads of special offers and discount codes. I highly recommend them. If you need any info please contact me, here is my fave one : - www.lovehoney.co.uk/sex-toys/vibrators/magic-wand-vibrators/p/lovehoney-desire-luxury-rechargeable-wand-vibrator/a47069g84469.html

A discreet service is essential, isn’t it?

Daddima your comment and pic made me laugh 😆 discreet!
What would the neighbours think?🤭

Yes but not everyone has someone to have sex with. Read the original post.

Retired65, treat yourself to a DOXY from Lovehoney. It's not cheap, but it's worth it.

I think you are all mean, how do you think this lady feels now, she was asking for advice and you have made fun of her

There has been quite a bit of sympathy, fellow feeling and useful advice and by no means all the posts have been jokey. Even the jokey posts were not making fun of her so much as joking about vibrators.

Look on Amazon for a womanizer. Rechargeable.

It's not a wind up ....arthritic hands can't hold regular ones. I'm sure if you Google it there will be a plethora.

Luckygirl3

Why do people mind if their children know that they are sexual beings? - they would not be here if they weren't......

I am with you Luckygirl3! I have visited Ann Summers and discussed vibrators with my daughters in the past. Why on earth would anyone think they would be embarrassed if they found one (or several)? Sex is wonderful and I miss it hugely now I am on my own and yes, my hand gets tired too so I have found this (where sensible answers are given) hugely helpful. Thanks you @retired65 for posing the question.

Didn’t any of you watch Grace and Frankie when they designed one for older women?!!! Brilliant TV. Then they had to pitch it for sponsorship - so funny
