Vibrators for the over 70s

The one I had doesn't appear to be working. Can anyone suggest a virbrator that works and doesn't tire the hands? It would be for my own use as my husband hasn't been interested in sex for many years. I am 74.

Why are they different from those for under 70s?

Ooh…..there’s a good idea! A wind-up vibrator……less risk of the batteries running out ‘mid session’ 😉

What the hell? Is this some prank?

I had a wind up torch once, it needed re-winding with a little handle on the side after about one minute - could see this spoiling the fun with a vibrator. Can you get re-chargable ones?

(Is a virbrator the same thing or have I just made an embarrassing mistake?)

Perhaps it could be a combined wind up torch/virbrator, or even have a radio function too. Very useful in a blackout, all bases covered.

Not a wind up. At least it has catched some Grannetters attention, even if I haven't received any suggestions yet!

‘catched’?

Something suitable for arthritic hands? It would be an interesting pitch on Dragon's Den.

OP has posted on other subjects before.
Sorry I can’t help * Retired65* I’m actively married.

Remote controlled vibrating egg. Amazon probably sell them. Have fun!

nanna8 Thu 08-May-25 00:44:18

Had a laugh if nothing else whether it is ‘genuine’ or not !

The government says we should all have an emergency kit. Tinned food, dried milk, matches , wind up radio, etc. Perhaps we should add a wind up vibrator to that. Just to pass the time, you understand .

Retired65 think this is a windup but will still reply if you want to masterbate you don't need a vibrator. You have things called hands. Very flexible no batteries needed . Plus the part to give yourself a climax is not in your vagina.

loopyloo Thu 08-May-25 09:20:53

Have you replaced the batteries?

Cossy Thu 08-May-25 09:36:28

I have one recently purchased (not because husband “inactive”, more because I’m finding it difficult to climax these days) I purchased one from Amazon, it’s very simple and designed to stimulate the right parts, try Amazon or Anne Summers.

Good luck

PS my new one is usb charging

I thought the whole point of a vibrator was to let the appliance do the work and spare the arthritic wrists.

Mt61 Thu 08-May-25 09:56:21

Course it won’t be a wind-up, people still have sex well past their 70s (if you are lucky).
Hands get tired Whiff, especially if they are arthritic.
Never had one myself, but if you find a good one please let me know, ha.
