Not a pity fest, I wake up in the morning and the pain in my arthritic shoulder is so bad I cannot move my arm. I feel so alone.

Check your pillows and mattress-if you haven't changed them in a while then maybe think about getting advice about what is best for you.
I woke up with hip pain this morning but I know my sofa cushions are wearing out and aren't firm enough.
A bit of walking will sort it out for me.

That’s really miserable. Would a heat pack do anything to help? As the previous poster says, it would be worth checking whether you need new pillows or mattress.

Not arthritis, but I had a rotator cuff injury in one shoulder.
I found putting an extra pillow lengthwise, in an L shape from my head pillow, and resting the shoulder and upper arm on it helped me sleep more comfortably.

I sleep the same way v3ra, it works for me too.

Look on you tube. Just ask the question. There is a wealth of advice on there, and it helped me enormously when I suffered a rotator cuff injury.

I cannot have a lie-in, my right hip would not allow it. Unfortunately, surgery is my only option, but I still hope it will "see me out".
