I have experienced this in the past. At the time I was in a very abusive marriage. It was so scary.

I have experienced physical sleep paralysis but fortunately without the hallucinations. On each occasion I had been sleeping on my back which I don’t usually do and am now careful to avoid.

I have had this when I feel deeply anxious. It is very frightening.

I used to experience it regularly as a teenager. Deeply unpleasant. Thankfully not experienced it for years.

The first time I experienced this was about five years ago, I was in bed when all of a sudden I felt as though something was on my back, I tried to reach for the lamp beside my bed (To hit it with )but I could not move. I remember calling out for my son.
I’m not sure how long this lasted, but I know the thing on my back said something absolutely disgusting to me “you sweaty c**t” Absolutely terrifying experience.
Three nights ago it happened again. It was not so terrifying. It just felt as though something was poking me in the ribs and it was hurting. I remember trying to turn my head for some reason I was trying to bite it then I remember calling out not for anybody in particular just a shout a couple of times and then I came out of it
I have mentioned it to a couple of people at work and they have both experienced it which makes me feel a bit better as I thought I was the only one and it was terrifying
