Had Covid jab and flu jab in same arm at same time. No problem!!

Yes, GP Surgeries and Pharmacies are paid by the NHS to administer jabs to those who are entitled to receive them.

GPs are not part of the NHS: they are independent contractors that provide services to the NHS. GPs have to order the jabs for their patients; store them; administer them and then update patient records. This requires surgery staff effort that has to be paid for.

I'm fine

I had my flu jab at the beginning of this month. Always have it as I have asthma, usually no side effects.
This time I felt awful for a week afterwards. Headache, tiredness, shivering and shaking, stomach ache.
Decided not to have the COVID one.

Etoile2701 Wed 29-Oct-25 16:33:31

Yes me but I have IBS so stomach ache is normal for me.

Greciangirl Wed 29-Oct-25 16:39:02

Never had any problems.

In fact, I sometimes wonder whether I’ve actually had the jab as barely feel anything.

Grandmabatty Wed 29-Oct-25 16:40:50

I'm not sure if it's different in Scotland then or just my area.

Had flu vaccine 2 weeks ago. I didn’t have a sore arm and I usually would have.

IOMGran Wed 29-Oct-25 17:08:56

I had it a month ago, just felt tired for 24 hours. Had the latest Covid one a couple of days ago, fine with that too.

merlotgran Wed 29-Oct-25 17:18:43

I had the flu jab last Saturday. Felt achy and tired on Sunday and not much better on Monday. Yesterday I felt well enough to go out but today I feel sick and shaky.
I have an important meeting to go to tomorrow so 🤞🤞

BlueBelle Wed 29-Oct-25 17:35:43

I ve never ever had any side effects

theworriedwell Wed 29-Oct-25 17:45:10

My husband is having awful stomach pain. Mind you he doesn't get his flu jab till next week.

Maybe there's a stomach bug on the loose.

IamMaz Wed 29-Oct-25 17:56:46

I had mine a few days ago. I had a slight ache in my arm that evening but nothing else.

Galaxy62 Wed 29-Oct-25 18:50:21

Had the flu jab the following week got the flu !!

Growing0ldDisgracefully Wed 29-Oct-25 18:53:15

Flu jab no side effects, and presumably the zumba class I did the following morning with all the arm movements helped deal with any stiffness.

Not eligible for covid now, but always in the past had adverse reactions to that, including feeling exhausted, went to bed and didn't wake up for 14 hours!!! Plus previous jabs causing loss of balance, feeling intensely cold and very unwell.

Grandmabatty

Funnily enough, I had my flu jab yesterday. No sore arm but today I feel really sick. Could be coincidence of course

Same here. I’m immunosuppressed so I have had reactions to previous vaccines
Day 3&4 feeling sick, no appetite.. day 5&6 complete fatigue and slept most of the afternoon. Still feeling nauseous..
Just had a thought, are we supposed to report these side effects?

Mojack26 Wed 29-Oct-25 19:12:19

No

Nightsky2 Wed 29-Oct-25 19:13:07

Had flu and Covid jab today so will let you know.

Grandmabatty Wed 29-Oct-25 19:23:30

Thanks Yorklady I thought it was just me! I have no appetite for food at all today

MollyNew Wed 29-Oct-25 19:32:23

I had mine last week and within a few minutes of getting home I felt nauseous and very tired. I was sick that evening and felt exhausted the next day. We thought it might have been a coincidence and I might have picked up a stomach bug, but you never know.

DG45 Wed 29-Oct-25 19:56:00

I don't know whether to have the flu jab or covid in the past
month I have had a Chest Infection' I had 2 lots of antibiotics
so perhaps I had better wait?

Shizam Wed 29-Oct-25 20:07:16

Usually get a 24-hour achey feeling after jab. But soon recover and must be better than getting the actual virus.

123gran Wed 29-Oct-25 20:08:35

Not stomach ache but it did seem to affect my eyesight which became very blurry, a bit like dilating drops when they have just begun to wear off. Very odd and a bit worrying. Seems a bit better today, six days later 🤞🏻

lixy Wed 29-Oct-25 20:16:04

Pleased to say we didn’t have any reactions to our flu jabs a couple of weeks ago. I am due my second shingles jab next week and am hoping that goes as smoothly.

Thank you rinseandrepeat for stating the case for GPs so clearly. They need people to fight their corner.
