Flu jab

The 3 people I know, all are fine.

I was fine, so was DH.

No problem for me couldn’t even tell you which arm it was done it
All totally normal

No problem here, not even an achy arm.

There are lots of bugs around. Could this be just a coincidence. I’ve not heard of stomach problems being associated with the flu vaccine.

In the last month we have had a flu jab and a COVID booster, we are perfectly fine not even a sore arm.

I always react to the flu jab one way or the other, but I have asthma, so get it every year.

This time I felt exhausted for a couple of days, and a bit achey. I don't think I had digestive issues, but it was a few weeks ago, so I can't fully remember. I always assume that whatever the symptoms after the jab, they would be the same but much worse if I got the strain of flu from which I've been protected. It doesn't make me feel less grotty, but it cheers me up a bit.

Apart from the usual sore arm (me), the only time DH and I had side-effects, from any jab at all, was following a flu jab around 5 years ago. And it was a stomach upset with each of us. We were warned by the person vaccinating us that there’d been reports of side-effects, so perhaps it was a dodgy batch.

Had both (one in each arm), last Saturday. No side-effects whatsoever this time, not even a sore arm or two. Know it will be another ten days or so, before I am properly protected, and hope to keep okay until then.

DH and I had the flu jab and something else [I've forgotten what] but there were no side effects except for a little bit of stiffness which went away quite quickly and I had them both in the same arm!

Funnily enough, I had my flu jab yesterday. No sore arm but today I feel really sick. Could be coincidence of course

Yes, I had a stomach pain after the flu jab and was even worried at one point that I had a hernia! but it seems to have settled down.

I'd heard of a couple of people who'd had a sickness bug and assumed I had a form of that; I hadn't met with them but DH had.

I don't know. 🤔

I had a very sore arm, DH didn't but I always do react to vaccines.

We had ours a couple of weeks ago and had no after-effects whatsoever.

Flu in one arm, covid booster in the other and I was absolutely fine.

No probs at all.

Slightly sore arm - but a couple of days later, my hips were really painful overnight.

I had flu and Covid together. As usual had side effects from Covid jab - exhaustion, no energy - I have about an hour to get from the GP surgery to my sofa where I crash out for 4-6 hours.
But this time I also had upset stomach which I hadn't had before.

We had ours last week no problem. Just the flu jab not Covid.

In most provinces in Canada, annual flu jabs are offered to all (over 6 months) free of charge.

The question is how much of our immunisation policy is based on cost rather than benefit?

I have been having flu jabs for over 25 years with nothing more than an occasional raised lump at the injection site. It used to be a social event with tea and biscuits whilst one waited 15 minutes in case there was an allergic reaction to the jab.

I have never had any side effects from the flu vaccination, or any other.

I had my flu jab last week and it's the first time I've had no side effects at all. Not even an achy arm. Same with the Covid jab this year.

I know of a few people who’ve had it and said never again because they felt so ill afterwards. I will also add, Ive never had it despite the text messages from the GP trying to flog it. They make around £10 to administer each shot, nice little earner for them!

We get our vaccinations at the local hospital. There's no 'nice little earner ' as you call it.
I've had proper flu once and it was horrible. I was younger and fitter but it really affected me badly. I'm happy to have any vaccines which keep me healthy, despite any side effects
