Hvdy absolutely nothing. Still waiting…….
Does how a safety device looks put your parent off wearing it?
Welcome. This thread is in support of those who wish to share their mental health problems as they affect their daily lives, share aspects of our lives supportively and give and take support. And is a continuation of Black Dog 29.
It’s been going for some time, so this is a jump in at the deep end.
All are welcome- don’t be put off by some of us being here long term - people come and go
Hvdy absolutely nothing. Still waiting…….
Nadateturbe Do hope you can get through to the GP surgery. You have such a limited life with your illness.
EllieAnne You must be very anxious about the future. Hoping your DH gets more help soon and you can feel like hes being taken care of. Its awful that he couldn't be admitted to hospital when the Dr wanted a place for him.
Wyllow Cystitis is such a painful thing . I wonder if you needed a different antibiotic to deal with it - different infections can respond to certain ones better. So hope it gets sorted for you soon. Glad you were there for EllieAnne and so helpful.
HVDY Doodle Hope you're both OK and have a decent day.
Scaredycat It must be quite different having a scheduled trip -hope you can enjoy seeing such a lot of those beautiful places ( and the weather is kind enough!)
Having a peaceful time here despite drizzly weather. Going into Windermere today for a browze. DH struggling a bit but at least no worse than he was at home.
Sending love to you all.x

I wanted to know that too, my guess is that they must have gone in but hugs EllieAnne if nothing has happened yet.
Well HVDY that sounds like a wee bit nicer than mine - I was up early as had to ring the Dentist and the doctor both at 8.30am. Got through to Dentist first, 12 midday appointment, waiting to hear from doc but Docsis was reassuring that blood in urine is normal for cystitis and I had been very bothered.
But BD's - unbelievable!!!
😡 The person you are all aware told me I had not been sexually assaulted last October and told me that around Christmas time and I never saw my family too upset... I have been avoiding her thinking best option for me and as I knew she is having some problems let her go to meetings and not me so I didnt get triggered...
B** well WhatsApped me this morning at 6.48 telling me I had to forgive her it was our version of of god at work (as in weird not gentle) and that my problem was that I didn't admit my vulnerability.
It was pretty clearly manic.... grandiose... stuff which I now all too well as have it in smaller quantities if I dont keep an eye out,
but it took my doc sis and a WhatsApp to not only L in share of our group but also Safeguarding - yes, now, she has been reported to Safeguarding as a danger to others. And will she be there at the nice little group next Saturday I was going to go to..
and all this at the same time as GP and Dentist, so A will call by on his way out just for a cuppa.
I’m taking him in this afternoon.
EllieAnne Sorry, I somehow didn't see your post from last night. That's terrible service, isn't it? I hope by now you're not still waiting for a call. Please let us know what's happening.
SweetpeaSue Hope the weather brightens up where you are, and that you have a good day out.
Wyllow3 That woman you mention isn't a very nice person, is she? Not much of a Christian attitude
. Hope the GP contacted you. Have you had anything done at the dentist's?
Aqua aerobics - there were 32 of us - then a vegetarian breakfast (I don't eat bacon or sausages, and my friend had my egg). The sun is shining. x
Evening all. Been out all day today helping friend tidying up.
I slept so well last night I was really late waking up thi s morning. Tomorrow I’m taking a friend to hospital early morning so will need to get to bed soon tonight
HVDY glad you went to aqua today. 32 that’s quite a large group. Do you know everyone? Did you get your nails done?
Ellie Anne how did you get on? Is your Dh in hospital? Hope he will get the treatment he needs. I hope you got home before dark. I don’t like driving at night,
Wyllow I’m not quite sure what’s being going on. I realise you’ve had a weird message from that person who you say is having a manic episode. Who is L ? If safeguarding are involved how is sh coming to the group. Sorry I’m tired tonight and not sure I understand what’s going on.
Hope A was able to be supportive.
Seetpeasue I love Windermere. Been there for holiday before. Beauitiful place. Glad you are enjoying it.
nadateturbe I’m glad you are able to do puzzles. I like them too. No fun when you don’t have the energy for anything.hope you get in ok with the Gp.
Scaredycat hope you’re having a lovely trip. I’m sure the scenery is amazing.
Dh is in hospital and will need surgery for blocked artery in groin but no idea when . Driving was awful. I got lost.
Doodle I know most of them to say hello to, and a few to have conversations with - I have terrible social anxiety and shyness (some people find that all hard to believe), and perhaps I give the impression that I'm not friendly, at times. I didn't get my nails done - I fell asleep sitting up on the settee. Hope you have a good sleep tonight, ready for your good deed tomorrow.
LG tomorrow. I'm off to bed at 10pm. Hope everyone has a good rest x
EllieAnne I am just glad he is in hospital and you are home at last. Poor you driving in that situation, you have done so well and need a break from him xxxxx
Doodle sorry, because L is my DGD as in severe disability but and L also the only person currently trying to deal with nasty Quaker.
Basically you know I was assulted: you know a significant Quaker denied it had ever happened and that made my life a misery, and she has only gone and don either gain with an aggressive and inappropriate WhatsApp delivered at 6.48 this morning, and her actions cause me to believe she is suffering a manic episode, and today has told me no one really knew what to do, except its "same again"as regards difficulties in a faith group dealing with conflicts and transgressive behaviour.
I'm glad you got a good nights sleep last night, and hope it goes well in the morning making your friend to the hospital.
Indeed, not Christian at all, HVDY, weird. I hope you get a better sleep tonight - I've had a word throughout the airwaves with Jaffa - as LG is an absorbing but busy little soul. BTW, apparently bacon is a baddie in foodie terms as regards health as we grow older unless it's the began version. but give up bacon butties? I actually have, but they can be moresome.
With great difficulty, but some good help too, I have sorted Dentist and cystitis meds and "why's" - a return to dentist later in month, but that doesnt bother me.
Good night to all BD's.
EllieAnne That sounds serious. Glad he's in hospital and will be treated soon. You poor thing, getting lost. You'll have the house to yourself for a while. Try to relax a bit now.
Wyllow3 Glad you got sorted out re the doctor and meds. Jaffa was very good last night, but I was sohot all night, despite having the window open. DH & I will be busy today with LG. I'll be on toileting duty, he cooks lunch. We'll probably go to a softplay or playgroup. Back later x
Wyllow3 I meant to say - I bought some nitrate-free bacon for DH. He ate it but has since gone back to his usual stuff. He only has a full English at weekends now. I hate the smell of it.
Hi all
Sorry for absence but I,ve caught up this morning with your news.
EllieAnne Ann- your DH condition sounds serious - must have been so awful getting lost too. Take advantage of having the house to yourself and rest and try to calm your mind. He is being seen after- you need some peace.
HVDY- it’s funny you are shy as you seem so lovely and friendly. Have a nice day with LG.
Doodle- it’s a different sort of holiday but we are enjoying the company of some very funny people. Scenery is very wild coastal - lovely.
SweetPeaSue- so glad you’re enjoying your time away. It’s a change of scene for your DH - which will do him good
Wyllow- glad A is there for you. Have the best day you can. Glad you’re all sorted meds wise.
Love to all. Time to get the cases out for the coach ready for the day and next bit of the journeyxx
Oh, so its the nitrates, is it, HVDY - I did wonder, but its obvious, isnt it? a real baddie. Good for Jaffa.
Enjoy your day with LG. soft play centres are marvellous, real good exercise (aka tires them out). Disabled L goes to one every week, you know, it's real good for her to scramble as best she can.
Now Scaredycat I'm glad you have encountered some quirky people. Makes a difference. May you be rain free, except the forecast doesn't look very benign far north.
The gardener is coming this morning, and I've been doing a List, tho not a lot of energy, she's always up for a good old natter.
How are you EllieAnne?
I really had a lovely time with the gardener. As her being out in the garden getting on with things mean I join her and I can talk about almost all things to her. And she is so open and prone to find the same things funny and the garden looks better.
I was tired but am just finished at the gym . Vv short swim, long pamper, more natters.
How are BD’s today? I’ll be in later briefly as it’s Quaker Zoom.
Thinking especially of those really struggling today xxx
ScaredyCat Thank you. I'm fine with one or 2 people, but not good in a group. Lack of confidence. You're the type of person who can get on with anyone, I think. Glad you're getting to know new people. What's the weather like?
Wyllow3 LG played in the sandpit we've got here, then we had spag bol (DH cooked it), went to a softplay place - the biggest one in Nottingham. We've been lots of times. Then, a local park on the way home, where we fed the ducks (we buy pellet stuff that floats on the water). Hope you had a good long chat with your gardening lady.
EllieAnne How's your day been?
Visited this afternoon. It was difficult. We’ve nothing to talk about. He saw drs this morning and they are discussing the scans. He did not get the antibiotics.
I’m not going tomorrow because it’s my gd school show . I ll go on Thursday. Friends are saying I need to look after myself. It’s about an hour away.
Didn’t get lost today.
Friends are right, EllieAnne. Being thrown into the role of carer means you need ‘you’ time and you’ve enjoyed DG school time events. If asked, admit things are ‘pretty tough, it’s good to see family” that’s a nice lightweight hint xx.
Who knows how many others feel like you re their partner? I doubt you are alone xx
That soft play place seems pretty amazing, HVDY.
As regards groups of people, I’m OK if it’s a structured situation like a political meeting. Or a discussion group with a subject. You don’t have to say a thing, ditto of course Zoom Quakers.
Other sorts of groups are different because different feelings and emotions coming from different people is confusing to me. I sort of feel pulled in different directions. It’s hard work and not satisfying in the end I think, ‘oh why did I say that blah blah.
Ellie Anne that may well explain all the problems he’s been having. Will he stay in hospital till he has the op? Poor you I hat driving places I don’t know and getting lost too. Do you have a sat nav?
Glad today was an easier journey. Must be hard for you to sit and make conversation. Will your children visit him do you think?
HVDY I often fall asleep in the evening too. You come over on here as such a friendly person I’m sure you get on well with people. Yes been a busy day. Friend got on well at the hospital then nice lunch at the hospice. Lg has such a lovely time with you. You do such fun things with her.
Scaredycat so pleased you are enjoying yourselves. I imagine it is a lovely place to visit.
Wyllow your gardener sounds lovely. How nice to be working together in the garden and chatting at the same time.
Sweetpeasue hope you are enjoying a more restful time.
I'm glad it went well for your friend, Doodle how she must have appreciated your support. Lunch at the hospice - was it still a sunny day to look out on from the hospice windows?
The "weather" has been slowly bring rain southwards. I expect Scaredycat has had rain.
I havent had a sleep today, I must (repeat to self) relax this evening not get "high" and stay up late (the calming meds wear off as its gets after 8 to 9 ish, and I sort of gear up knowing I shouldn't be -no chance of dropping off without night meds. Still, how glad I am to have them.
EllieAnne The visit must have been awkward for you both. Are your sons likely to visit your husband? It's a long drive for you each time. I hope he gets the operation soon and that he makes a good recovery. Try to do something nice for yourself - a nice bubble bath, bottle of wine, chocolate, whatever cheers you up.
Doodle I am friendly with people, but don't have a great deal of self-confidence. Silly, really, at my age. We like to go out with LG whilst the weather is good. Glad your friend got on ok today. I bet she was glad of your company. Nice to have lunch, too.
Wyllow3 I hope you sleep well. As you haven't had a nap today, will you sleep better tonight?
DH is out for the evening with Son1 - their usual Tuesday of playing cards at the pub (DH has 1 beer, then Coke. Son1 has about 5 beers, as DH does the driving) A friend rang me and we chatted for 90 minutes.
Ah yes, the usual Tuesday, when you get to either watch exactly what you want or go phone natter.
Nice Quaker meeting. A, new bloke, is too tired to chat in the evenings, he cant change that, and I need to learn to go to bed early so's to make the most of mornings instead of current essential loafing till 10am.
Ideally wake up when it's very first light. I don't like being up early in the dark but in winter have to put up with it. I must get out the twinkly lights for the bedroom.
Gransnet starts to wake up unless you are on the earlies thread about 7.45 ish and another chat room I am in, a wee one, earlier as we have a dawn riser.
Who else here gets up early or late?
