My Granddaughter has just been referred to a ME Consultant commonly known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Shes 21 not been well since before Christmas has had so many tests to determine whats wrong with her, blood results show nothing obvious and tried various different meds none of which have helped. We are all worried about her. I've been reading up and it seems she needs to learn how to manage the symptoms.
Anyone else had had to deal with a young person who has this diagnosis? and anything that has helped? I'd be very grateful for any suggestions.

Thank you everyone who has posted with suggestions I am making notes and will pass suggestions to my Granddaughter. At first she was trying to deal with the affects whilst being sent on courses and interviews by the job centre she tried so hard to be ‘normal’ again but of course things went from bad to worse as she was exhausting herself trying to keep up with things.
So thank you all again I live in hope thing will improve for her.

A family member was tentatively diagnosed with ME/ CF. He had to rest in the afternoon. He is better since being diagnosed as Gluten Intolerant and can control his diet.
I hope this observation might help someone.
