Mammogram recall

I had my regular mammogram last week and it was, unusually, quite painful. Since then I have had very tender breasts and noticeable bruising above each breast. I am quite small busted but firm and dense, as I have been told on previous examinations, which makes it difficult to flatten my breasts.
I have now been called back for another mammogram because the pictures “weren’t clear enough”.
I have booked another appointment but feel really inclined to not follow it up because it was so uncomfortable. Has anyone else had this problem ?

I’m small breasted too and yes, mammograms are often uncomfortable, but not had bruising like you describe.

I would definitely keep the appointment though. They say the pictures aren’t clear, but it must be worth the discomfort to know that things are ok.

You were perhaps unlucky with whoever did your mammogram, and the next one will be easier.
