I agree with you "goldengran" but it does depend on how old the child is as they can't really manage a booster seat at 6 months I don't feel, but they are excellent. Why do you want a fold up one "grannieannie41"? Yes "Voda" the Ikea ones are great too.

We use a booster seat type of chair that straps onto a dining chair. It has a harness for the child and the tray slots in front with a choice of tabs so that the child can't slip out at all. It's very easy to wipe down too. I find 'normal' highchairs have a lot of space for wriggling about. Depending on the type of table, the child can be pulled up to the table and be like everyone else when it's a bit older. The only down side perhaps is that it takes up a dining chair.

I think the basic IKEA chair is wonderful & only cost £10 when I bought one. You can take the legs off but it may not fold up enough for you but it's light and easy to clean.
