What was your overall impression of the Dettol Power and Pure kitchen spray? What did you like the most about it? Was there anything you didn’t like?

to be honest it looks just like any other product available.bottle is easy to hold and use and is a good size

Did you feel Dettol Power and Pure kitchen spray gave a powerful clean or not? How did it compare to other cleaning products you use?

I was not over impressed with the cleaning power. It was fine on wipe down surfaces but didn't seem to be able to clean harder items like doing the sink.

What did you think of the smell? Do you think it smells less 'bleachy' than other cleaning products you use or not? Did you notice any difference in terms of there being any chemical residue being left behind compared to others?

Smell was good and definately less bleachy. Can't say I noticed any residue left

Did you use Dettol Power and Pure kitchen spray in any areas of your home that you would not usually use a powerful cleaning product? If so, where?

no I only used it in the kitchen.

Do you think you would use Dettol Power and Pure cleaning products again? If so why? If not, why not?

I cannot tell if the surfaces were cleaner or not when you get down to germ level but it didn't seem to be much different to most other similar products. I am always carefull about surfaces and use germ protection products anyway. I would happily use it again if the price was right

If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Dettol Power and Pure to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would be quite happy to recommend it with reservations. It is easy to use and good for general wiping down of surfaces etc to keep germ free. I wouldn't recommend it for heavy duty cleaning though

1. I liked the look of the product....it promised much on the packaging. I'm afraid that the look of the bottle was the most impressive thing about the product. After that it was all downhill. I carefully read the instructions, paying particular attention to what it shouldn't be used on....I've run into problems once before! (Different manufacturer) Unfortunately, I have a marble board and quite a few unsealed wooden surfaces so I was unable to use it on them.

2. It gave a fair clean...no better than the product I already use. I tried it out on various kitchen surfaces and even the very dirty oven floor.

3. I hated the smell....too overpowering (I had a migraine shortly after using it). My OH wanted to know if I'd spilt some toilet cleaner in the kitchen...and the smell lingered. It definitely didn't smell bleachy but that was not a plus in my view. I did notice a residue left behind on my work surface which I rinsed off....but isn't one of the selling points that it doesn't leave behind any harsh residue?

4. Because of the overpowering smell I didn't use it anywhere but in the kitchen.

5. No....won't be using it again (unless you do something about the smell)

6. No I won't be recommending it and I'll carry on using my Dettox and E Cloths.

My overall impression :- Packaging looks good, it smells "clean", it does the job.

Cleaning :- It cleans very well, was very pleased with the results. much better than some cleaners, on a par with others.

Smell:- Left a "clean" smell that didn't overpower, or last too long.

Residue:- No noticeable residue

Use:- I used it in both the kitchen and bathroom and got good results in both areas.

Recommend:- Yes, I would, if I was asked.

Unfortunately I found the smell overpoweringly sickly and sweet too such an extent that I felt physically sick and couldn't continue to use the product. My husband has said he will give it a try outside the house on UPVC window surrounds and feed back later.

What was your overall impression of the Dettol Power and Pure kitchen spray? What did you like the most about it? Was there anything you didn’t like?

Impressed. Liked the smell of the product and the fact that it kills 99% of bacteria. Didn't like the nozzle much, tended to squirt too much out

Did you feel Dettol Power and Pure kitchen spray gave a powerful clean or not? How did it compare to other cleaning products you use?

Yes, it gives a powerful clean. Used it on baby's highchair, worktops and black enamel hob, as well as glass table top. Compared to others? Certainly as good if not better. To be honest they are all pretty much the same, aren't they?

What did you think of the smell? Do you think it smells less 'bleachy' than other cleaning products you use or not? Did you notice any difference in terms of there being any chemical residue being left behind compared to others?

^ As said before, not an unpleasant smell like some. I do like a bleachy smell though. It reminds me of my dad bleaching the old wooden draining board when I was a little girl.^

Did you use Dettol Power and Pure kitchen spray in any areas of your home that you would not usually use a powerful cleaning product? If so, where?

I used it in the bathroom with good results.

Do you think you would use Dettol Power and Pure cleaning products again? If so why? If not, why not?

^ A lot would depend on the cost but have bought the bathroom version from Costco as it was a really good bargain.^

If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Dettol Power and Pure to a friend? If so, why? If not, why not?

I have already told my friend about it. We were discussing how environmentally friendly it is (or isn't)

I like the appearance of the spray container - it looks powerful and attractive. The opener is a little stiff but no more than other products with this type of on/off opener.

It is satisfactory as a cleaner but not massively different from my favourite Dettox spray and I would not choose it over Dettox.

I hate the smell! I find it synthetic and unpleasant. It leaves a dull finish too I think especially on my formica worktops.

I used it on my fridge door and other white goods and it was satisfactory but no more than that.

I shall stick with my Dettox and not buy this.

No I would not recommend Dettol Power and Pure. Sorry!

I have found the Dettol spray excellent, the perfume is subtle, there is no residue left after wiping, I have used it on my grandaughters highchair, worktops, sink and even the top of my Aga which is hot all of the time.Having 4 cats it has been handy to be able to use it before food preparation as I can't always tell where the little darlings may have been walking in my absence,I will be buying this from now on and will definately recommend it to my friends and family, thank you for giving me the chance to try it.

Overall I thought that the Dettol Power and Pure kitchen spray was effective. If I had to pick one thing I didn't like, I found the nozzle a bit difficult to position so that it sprayed properly. The OFF and ON marks on the nozzle are quite difficult to read - a coloured dot for ON might be better - and it seems to need to be aligned quite specifically in order to function correctly.

I felt that the Dettol Power and Pure kitchen spray gave a powerful clean and compared favourably with other similar products I have used.

I liked the smell of the spray and would not say it smelled 'bleachy' at all (and I have a very acute sense of smell). I did not notice any chemical residue left behind but then can't say I have noticed one with other similar sprays. I did find the smell more pleasant than most.

I used the Dettol Power and Pure kitchen spray in the bathroom as well as the kitchen as it would appear to be multi-purpose. I would probably use it on surfaces such as windowsills (melamine type rather than wood) but did not on any occasion when I used it for testing purposes.

I would probably use Dettol Power and Pure cleaning products again because, as I said, I liked the smell and it seemed effective. The main reason I might not use it again would be cost - e.g. if a supermarket offered its own brand for a lower price.

I think it is unlikely that a kitchen spray would come up in conversation with a friend but, if it did, I'd probably mention that I had tried and liked Dettol Power and Pure while not necessarily recommending it. I should perhaps point out that I have a cleaning lady and I suggested to her that she use it when she 'did' my kitchen - not sure if that counts as conversation/recommendation!

Happy to test other products for you - quite enjoyed doing this - and thank you for affording me this opportunity.
