Overall I thought that the Dettol Power and Pure kitchen spray was effective. If I had to pick one thing I didn't like, I found the nozzle a bit difficult to position so that it sprayed properly. The OFF and ON marks on the nozzle are quite difficult to read - a coloured dot for ON might be better - and it seems to need to be aligned quite specifically in order to function correctly.
I felt that the Dettol Power and Pure kitchen spray gave a powerful clean and compared favourably with other similar products I have used.
I liked the smell of the spray and would not say it smelled 'bleachy' at all (and I have a very acute sense of smell). I did not notice any chemical residue left behind but then can't say I have noticed one with other similar sprays. I did find the smell more pleasant than most.
I used the Dettol Power and Pure kitchen spray in the bathroom as well as the kitchen as it would appear to be multi-purpose. I would probably use it on surfaces such as windowsills (melamine type rather than wood) but did not on any occasion when I used it for testing purposes.
I would probably use Dettol Power and Pure cleaning products again because, as I said, I liked the smell and it seemed effective. The main reason I might not use it again would be cost - e.g. if a supermarket offered its own brand for a lower price.
I think it is unlikely that a kitchen spray would come up in conversation with a friend but, if it did, I'd probably mention that I had tried and liked Dettol Power and Pure while not necessarily recommending it. I should perhaps point out that I have a cleaning lady and I suggested to her that she use it when she 'did' my kitchen - not sure if that counts as conversation/recommendation!
Happy to test other products for you - quite enjoyed doing this - and thank you for affording me this opportunity.
