Ironing

DD always irons but she does not have children so probably has more time. DS irons his handkerchiefs but I don't see much evidence of anything else. I don't iron at all, having passed that chore on to DH when he retired. He is now very good at it.

I hate ironing but I still do it. I visited absentdaughter in New Zealand in March/April last year. She said that she was looking forward to seeing me and had been saving up the ironing from the previous July. I thought she was joking. She wasn't. smile

Yes, it seems that ironing isn't the big deal it used to be. But I can't break myself of the habit, although I have stopped ironing pants (I know - stupid).

I only joined the site today so I apologise if this topic has already been discussed. I was wondering if anybody else has noticed that many young people don't seem to worry about ironing any more. Neither my DD nor DIL bother to iron but my sons and son in law do! Don't get me wrong, I don't iron everything (like my Mum did) but I do iron shirts, tops, skirts etc. I just think clothes look better ironed.
