Hang or tumble

PS I'm a hanger, inside and out, though the tumble dryer does get some use in summer damo weather when even the internal air is too damp for things to dry properly. I haven't used it for months.

These thoughts ran through my head when I read your post, hespian.

Which council?
Are they removing the poles because they are not used?
How are people supposed to reduce their carbon footprint if they are forced to use tumble dryers instead of fresh air and sunshine?
What is the thinking/policy (if such action qualifies for such a name) behind this?
Isn't it stealing to take things from people's gardens?

I've just heard that clothes poles are being removed from an estate in London by the council. Do you still hang your washing or are the days of the washing line numbered? I find it theraputic - although a nuisance when the weather is so unpredictable!
