Cleaning stainless steel oven doors

I found Barkeepers Friend the best way to clean stainless steel. The only thing to leave the surface without streaks.

I buy it in my local ironmongers.

I came downstairs not long ago, to find Mr P attacking/cleaning/treating my stainless steel/chrome toaster with tin foil! He then went on to do the front of the oven.

Apparently he had read on line somewhere that the best thing to do was use tin foil, shiny side out, moistened with a little water.

I was horrified! I thought it would scratch the surface, but I have to admit it worked a treat.

PS I seem to remember posting this on another thread, but of course I can't remember which one.

We used to manufacture stainless steel canopy's etc and we would clean it with baby oil on a cloth works a treat, takes all the marks out, dont use Johnsons ....just the cheap stuff.

I knew I'd find a use for the baby oil that's been in the bathroom for ages [I think we bought it for the horse and she's been an ex horse for years]. Going to try it now.

I use an e-cloth, smooth side for shiny stainless steel and the rough side, slightly damp, for brushed steel.

Its not oily.... gives a brilliant shine just use a little on a cloth it work a treat.

I have had a glass or two tonight, I have a mucky stainless steel exterior oven, I have done every thing to make it sparkle, I have shouted at HIM to rub harder, I have bought stuff from Ama... to no avail, even though tomorrow when i read this I may be embarrassed Help

I clean my stainless steel with ordinary kitchen spray cleaner then finish off with this stainless steel cleaner from Kleeneze. It polishes it up and helps to stop stuff sticking in future.
