After many years of excellent service I need to replace my slow cooker!
Usually there is only 2 of us, but the family are here on a regular basis, also I like to make soup in a large quantity and casseroles and stews also. Do any gransnetters have any suggestions. Preferably with several heat settings. Thanks in anticipation!! confused

Just made a goulash in my crockpot for tonight. I'm going to have it in taco shells with sour cream (half fat of course)

There is a NInja Cooking System crockpot that has baking and roasting ability.I don't have one but if my crockpot ever dies I'd like something like it.Saw it on QVC but Amazon probably would have it too.

Beales are doing a very nice slow cooker for £24.99 at the moment I was tempted to buy one for DD for Chrisrmas. I think they are brilliant but am also exploring ways of using my pressure cooker to save fuel in a different way. I also have a slow oven on my range cooker which I use a lot for stewed fruit, porridge, casseroles and so on. Like a slow cooker I believe it uses about as much energy as a light bulb. smile
