Since feeding the 'babies' in bed at night, I have always had at least 3. One for sleeping on, then one firm one for support and a big squishy one on top to nestle down on plus a big square continental one for even more support when required. I have to remember not to trip over them in the morning as I chuck them one by one onto the floor as they become redundant. I find soft squishy downie ones tend to wrap around my head and try to suffocate me so tend to go for the man-made variety [comfused]
I really don't like a soft pillow. If we are travelling by car for an over night stay I will take my memory foam pillow with me, which my family find highly amusing. I use another ordinary foam pillow underneath.
To make the bed look nice, we have three ranging from softest at the top to firmest at the bottom. These are also used for day time 'rests'. For sleeping all but the bottom one, which is a Tempur end up on the floor!
Two. One to sleep on, one to drape over the bedstead to make a protective shield. But it's so disappointing to find my nicely starched and pressed pillowcases all creased in the morning.
What kind of pillows do you favour? Soft and squashy? Bouncy? Ultra firm? There are so many types that it's quite confusing when you go to choose one. How many do you use? One, two, more, or none at all? I like to squash mine up and make a kind of nest! I'm probably doing it all wrong...
