Tesco has posted pre-tax losses of £6billion !!

Are you a Tesco shopper? I have wondered for some time what its USP was, others are cheaper ( Aldi, Lidl, ) , better, (Waitrose)more comprehensive ,(Sainsbury's) or better situated.
Why shop at Tesco's?

Glad we don't have lidl/aldi, every time I do go there, I buy tools etc that I don't really need . smile

In that case, Mrs, Pompa should tether you outside while she does the shopping!

I don't go in with Mrs. P, need plenty of time to browse the tools.

You know you don't need any more.

At least, Mr Roses tells me that about handbags.

But you never know when you will want a 2ft long 3/4" masonry drill.

That is so true, and I wish I had a £1 coin for every time I have heard it.

Our Asda is awful (isn't it, Phoenix?) but I know other quite pleasant ones. I do all my basic grocery shopping online (Sainsburys / Waitrose) so only need to pop on and out of local supermarkets to get everything what I've forgotten. And Morrisons vary too - the one in Chatham was dreadful, the one here isn't bad but very busy.

Wish we had an Aldi or Lidl nearby for the popping in bit..

I wish I had a pound for every tool I have bought "just in case" and then couldn't find it when I did want ti. sad

That sounds like the pieces of wood that Mr Roses likes to hang onto and stores in the garage. He has vast mounds of wood of all types and sizes, just in case he needs a bit here and there.

I expect the wood lice are grateful.

Ariadne, I am forever in mourning for the Morrisons in Bideford, I so wish we had one here. You have a new Tesco now at East-The -Water, and an Asda somewhere I hear.Never been a fan of Asda, but it may be because the stores are so vast.
