How to clean the shower?

Last year, we had a shiny new shower room installed, to replace our 70s peach bathroom. However, twelve months down the line, the shower screen and surrounding tiles are impossible to keep clean, despite wiping it all down after every use. What's more, little patches of mould have appeared, in spite of having an extractor fan over the shower itself. We live in a hard water area and have tried lots of proprietary products supposedly for sparkling showers. Any advice please?

Nellie there used to be a popular self-help book kicking around when I managed a bookshop and the title was "After the ecstasy, do the laundry". Meaning life goes on no matter what else needs our attention. And that also means keeping the shower clean!

We were out today and saw a lot of other people out and about enjoying themselves in the sunshine.
Perhaps we should have stayed at home, watching the news and chewing our nails hmm
However, I don't think it will solve anything. smile

I use a homemade shower cleaning mixture to clean my shower.Just take 1 cup vinegar and then ½ cup of baking soda,1 cup of ammonia and a gallon and a half of hot water. Just apply this to the walls of your shower. Then with the help of a sponge, scrub and rinse the walls of the shower with hot water.Always make sure that you wipe the walls dry so that you won’t have any mildews forming. Here are some tips that I found online that helps to keep your bathroom clean www.sunrise-cleaning.com/blog/cleaning-tips/best-ways-maintain-clean-bathroom/
