How to deal with neighbours who are so unaware of the noise they create, mine ticks all the boxes from noisy adolescent, barking dog, slamming doors to creaky floorboards and loud voices. why are people so inconsiderate of those around them and how can anyone have a dog barking in the garden and not react at all {angry} do others suffer like this having rude people spoiling their peace and quiet, what a loud place todays world is.

We were relieved when we found our new neighbour was a retired vicar and his wife

Until we also found they fought like cat and dog, night and day, accompanied by plenty of effing and blinding as well; they also have a penchant for slamming doors too for some unknown reason.

But this seems small fry compared to what some others are going through. My heart goes out to you all.

when I have been faced with the noise of rowdy parties and summer fireworks at 1 in the morning I turn my annoyance into a positive...I think to myself

...oh how lovely.. all those people being happy and enjoying themselves...much better than wars and bombing or arguing... within 5 mins I feel happy and then I am soundly asleep!! works every time.

Try it as its better than being driven round the bend by something you cannot control or turn down.

Our vicar doesn't bother us at all, in fact we're often to be found with a glass held to the wall in case we miss a juicy bit.

Our neightbours now are lovely but very noisy. The GC come round at 7am with their mum and there's screaming and shouting from the children, doors banging, arguing with the son and this week (how dare they!) out in the garden making a ruckus. So no going out in the garden for me then. sad I like peace in the garden.

We are having an Eurovision Song Contest Party tomorrow, me and my son and his friends, so they can make as much noise as they want, for once! grin
