Please explain what a spinning mop is? I've got a steam mop from when DD3 lived with us and made wedding cakes (think icing sugar everywhere) which I think works well but my cleaner doesn't like. confused

I've had one for about 2yrs and its great. You can spin the mop to be wet enough to wash the floor but not soak it and then extra spinning near enough dries it off. OH insisted on buying it online I thought it wouldn't last 5 mins but its still going strong after at least 2yrs and it came with a spare mop head which I haven't even had to use yet.

It's getting harder to wring out floor mops these days. I've tried the traditional bucket with side bit, I've tried squeezy mops of various types.

But nothing really works and my (Karndean) floors are too wet when I've washed them. My cleaner does no better.

I've searched online, looking for something like the Karcher thingmy I use to dry off my windows but all I can find is their steam cleaners which are not recommended for my type of flooring.

Been looking at these spinning mops with a pedal bucket.

Anyone used these or any other suggestions welcome.
