I have been on the waiting list for a bungalow in another part of town, where I live is half way up a very long, steep hill. Been waiting a long time.

Just received a telephone call, got one, smile , going to view tomorrow

That is good news doubled - hope that you both love the new places and can see them as your home.

Good luck wills.

Thank you all, I will save money on taxi's , I think it has gas heating, here I have storage heaters, It's near the church and the hall where we hold our Labour party meetings I have been waiting twenty months .

Jane, no way would I risk a lottery ticket, I could win , wouldn't mind enough for a car though ,mmmmmm, perhaps I will risk it smile

This is great news Anniebach, I do hope you like the bungalow and accept it. It sounds ideal if it's close to your church and the hall where your Labour party meets. Looking forward to hearing how the viewing went x

Fingers crossed it's what you want, look beyond things like decor (you can soon change that) & look at positives.

I moved last year from my loved Park Home in Somerset which I loved but after DH's death I could not afford. I moved to Devon to be nearer DD & family, I was lucky in that I could buy another Park Home, smaller & needing lots of work but I love area it's in, near to Town (small but shops that I need & Drs Surgery) & small Post Office/General Store within walking distance. smile

Look forward to hearing how you get on flowers

Pattyann57 Thu 22-Sept-16 08:00:43

thats fab i hope you are very happy...I moved to be near GD and intended settling in town to be useful but then fell in love with house half way up hill..200 year old mining cottage in need rip out.., no bus, no shop, no footpath..so my life suddenly got very tough.
What i should have done was consider the future and be sensible instead went for here and now whim.
