Devon - where should I move?

For those living or have lived in the South West, where would you recommend as a retirement location?

I don't need any more persuading, I've already been reading a lot of articles online about Devon and Cornwall and have a lot of friends there, but it's trying to decide exactly where to move to? Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

BBC1 Place in the country today was set in Devon. Worth a look though the couple had a healthy budget it showed some nice parts of the county.

but, of course, they chose none of those that they had seen !
Another couple who wanted to be on the tv?
