cleaning the toilet

Not a nice subject, I know. But husband and I disagree on this.
He believes that the blue stuff you can put down is the answer. Whereas I think just water and a hand clothed in a disposable rubber glove.
No doubt I'll compromise as usual, just for peace.
How do you clean yours?

I worked for a cleaning company for a year after I retired from nursing. I wasn't allowed to use bleach in the toilets. I had the blue toilet cleaner and a brush in each cubicle. I cleaned them daily. They never needed anything else, and were beautifully clean. I've never seen the brand in shops, so I assume that it's for commercial use only.

Plastic gloves on, spray seat and cover and all porcelain areas wipe over with kitchen roll and buff up.
Spray limescale remover into bowl last thing at night for it to work.
Every other day bleach down the bowl leave flush later. If necessary scouring pad get your gloved hand down throw pad away.
Works for me
I see brushes as a good source of breeding germs wouldn't even consider them. YUK

I realised this was a really old thread, when I spotted Jamila's name. I often wonder how she is.
I got a very sad PM from her before the pandemic, saying she had Alzheimers. She was such an intelligent lady.😢

Domestis and a brush, nothing else works. If I go to anyone’s house and the lavatory isn’t clean I heave, make sure I never use it again it’s an immediate reaction, my mother was the same so I caught it, difficult when out and about or on holiday as I have to. Seat washed with soapy water after being wiped with bleach on a cloth, that’s why my wooden ones don’t last,
