Loads of buses in Edinburgh. No problem getting around. I'd have thought that the University or wherever the student is attending would have lists of available accommodation?

so sorry I'm the other side of the country or I'd have offered a room .Tell her to try the outskirts maybe towards the airport as the trams run that far so she'll have transport into the City .Lots of guest houses etc in teh Murrayfield area
