I am looking for a regular window cleaner for my house windows. three bedrooms, bathroomand small porch at the front , lounge window downstairs.

Approx how much do people pay to a regular cleaner.. we had a man for years and he has disappeared off the face of the earth. A man gave me a quote of £45.00....we paid £6.00 before.

My window cleaner charges £10 for the entire outside of the house. We live in the South.

I live in Leicester realise £6.00 is probably cheap but was horrified at £45.00

I pay £8 and whilst it's only 2 bedrooms my kitchen has 3 large windows (upstairs because I'm upside down) my front entrance is all glass, 2 levels high and probably 2 doors width. Whilst I'm in Cornwall and things can be a bit cheaper, the window cleaner is from Manchester and he says it's a fair price.

I have two bay windows I down I upstairs and another single upstairs window and was paying £5 however he has left the district and I m having trouble getting another they seem as rare as hens teeth
I would expect it to go up a bit more when I do eventually get one but £6 seems about ok

I’m in London in a two bedroom house but have large french doors across the back he charges £12 per month.

I pay £14. I have six windows, sliding double patio doors and a fully glazed porch. For a small extra charge, they cleaned the inside of the porch too.

bimbadeen Is the window charging for the inside windows as well as,£45 is so excessive unless you have a massive house and conservatory to be cleaned.
Is he a one man business or does he work for a Industrial Cleaning Company and charging their standard prices.
I pay £6.00 for my bungalow front and back which includes my man washing under the eves for me.

£10 - 4 bed house in NW. Outside only but I sometimes pay a bit more to get gutter unblocked. I also provide a cup of tea and chat.

We have a semi in Berkshire, and pay £14.00 every 6 weeks. Outside windows outside only, and he is worth it!

GrandmaKT Mon 03-Jun-19 18:26:32

We pay £18, but we do have four sets of double sliding patio doors plus 14 other windows. Fortunately he only comes 3 or 4 times a year!

fiorentina51 Mon 03-Jun-19 18:36:02

We pay £15 for cleaning 10 windows and 3 glass doors plus ledges. They come every 6 weeks. We live in the midlands.

I pay £8 for a two bed semi, I did pay £20 for a man who used no ladders until I learnt better!

Our window cleaner had a nervous breakdown a few years ago and have been unable to find another. I think the price for a 3 bedroom house then was £15 but it is London. I would never consider paying £45, apart from the minor fact I could not afford it on a regular basis.

£14 for a detached in Surrey. 17 windows, some very small though.

spyder08 Mon 03-Jun-19 19:08:03

Three bedroom detached in Lincs...£12.50 every four weeks

3 bed semi, French windows plus another window in the sitting room, plus downstairs loo window, £12 each time.

I pay £20 every 2 months for 4 bed house with huge windows and the conservatory. This is the clean water system where they use brushes on a hose so the whole window and sills get done. Well worth the cost. I'm in South Yorks but the company is in Leeds.

annodomini Mon 03-Jun-19 19:42:19

Two up, two down plus kitchen and bathroom and a side window and glass panels in the doors. £8.50, approximately every 5 or 6 weeks, depending on the weather.

LadyGracie Mon 03-Jun-19 19:55:35

£9 and that included the conservatory, detached 3 bed house.

M0nica Mon 03-Jun-19 20:27:29

£35, but our house has 18 windows, most with small panes and a large bay window. It is only a 4 bedroomed semi but we have so many windows, because the house is only 1 room deep and most of the rooms have one or more windows each end of the room. The living room has 5 windows, 2 at the front, 2 at the back plus french doors.

£4 for small terrace in Yorkshire.

MawBroonsback Mon 03-Jun-19 21:11:06

£15 for a 4 bed detached - 10 windows, 2 lots of patio doors, but no conservatory.
A young man comes every two months and uses one of those long pole thingies. He also washes the window sills etc.
Seems good value from what I have read here.

£20 for nineteen windows on an awkward, sloping site. That’s in Scotland.
