I always used to starch and iron my cotton bedding because I like the cool feel, but lately I have stopped and find that after a night's sleep the creases disappear. I now iron nothing, which is great!

Just about to iron my sheets,tried just to put them back on the bed but can't do it ,but as I am retired don't mind and love getting into lovely fresh ( 500 thread count bedding).

I iron duvet covers and pillowcases but never sheets. I hang up sheets or dry in the drier and immediately fold afterwards.

Love freshly laundered and ironed bedding.
I didn’t always have the time or energy when I had 3 children at home.
Now I have more time it’s lovely to sleep in pressed bedding.

No. I think there's enough ironing to do, without creating more.

It’s lovely to see we all have our different reasons for ironing or not ironing....without anyone feeling the need to justify. MamaCaz you certainly get my vote for the best explanation for non-iron!

I love getting into a bed that has freshly laundered and neatly ironed bed linen on it. But not enough to make me dig out the iron and actually do it! Now if someone else was to offer.........

I miss the days of a lovely bath, clean nightie, and clean bed with a crispy white top sheet.

I don't iron any of it now; I just put a nice throw (one that doesn't need ironing!) over the top.

Only pillow cases. Bedding is 400 thread cotton but not ironed. The creases drop out of their own accord.

My OTT houseproud SIL used to iron socks!

Just to add that today it was very breezy and sunny spells so for the first time this year I have dried my bedding outside on the line in less than 2 hours a very welcome change from the wet weather of the past few months.

Yes, a lovely sunny day here too. I think life is far too short to iron anything much, even clothes - unless hopelessly creased.

I iron duvet covers and pillow cases one side only and bottom sheets.

I dried washing today too.
It's lovely to be able to put stuff out.

I fold the duvet covers and use as an extra ironing board cover and they get pressed that way without the effort. Otherwise I wouldn’t bother.

I iron all my pure cotton bed linen. I just love getting into the fresh smooth sheets.

I iron the cotton sheets to get rid of the washing creases. No fitted sheets for me as DH has them untucked and rucked up almost straight away, and ends up sleeping on the mattress cover. So I buy large sheets that tuck in well.

I iron the duvet covers for guests.

Sheets are easier to iron than shirts and trousers!

Nope, I stopped ironing bed linen somewhere a round 1975, but I do iron tea towels.

I have never had the inclination to iron bedding in my life.

I haven't ironed sheets or duvet covers for years. They are spun on the lowest setting so are quite wet when hung on the line and dry fairly smooth. I have a couple of old, but unused linen sheets - still in their packets when I bought them. At first they dried wrinkly but now they're fine.

I dislike the look of duvets and so have a few bedspreads to cover the bed completely.

I only iron pillowcases unless we have a guest. For a guest I would iron the duvet cover and iron the fitted sheet on the bed.

I iron about every 6 weeks and for never more than an hour.

I’ll iron bedding for guests and that is it. Although I did recently iron a new duvet dd has as it came out of the wash really wrinkled. Luckily, after the second wash, it was okay to just fold and put away.

I like to think I’m doing my bit for the environment by saving energy through not ironing.

I’ve always ironed the bedding, it’s 100% cotton. I put the telly on, have a cuppa beside me and it doesn’t take long.

I have one set that needs ironing so don’t use it very often! Apart from the really cold winter months I don’t need to change and iron duvet covers as I use a 4.5 tog quilt from m and s which is like a quilted printed bedspread. It goes in the machine, hangs up and dries in a couple of hours then back onto bed.
So no more faffing with covers for me until November!
