Exciting news from Shandy. Any hope of being moved by Christmas? This saga has had us all on the edge of our seats for so long that the sight of a happy ending is almost too much! Fingers crossed that all goes well which it will if your solicitor makes the effort. We once moved six weeks from the day we put our house on the market, so it can be done.

Phew Shandy. Same happened to friends of ours last month but luckily the buyer stuck with them because they were local and not from 200 miles away like the higher second offer.

Just back from the EA with my solicitor info etc and double checked that the buyer was still going to sell to me ... it seems that Sunday's viewer upped their offer yesterday but was told it was sold. Lucky me!

So pleased for you ShandyI pop in for a catch up on this lovely thread several times a week. Hoping for a straight forward journey towards completion.

Thank you all for supporting me through this, I can hardly believe I've managed it. My kids are very pleased - a couple who have been very supportive live at the top of the road, I know they'd always help me if I was in trouble. Her husband was one of Steve's best friends. I've come down with some stress symptoms, a cold sore, ulcers in my mouth and really bad chilblains! The bungalow didn't have a floor plan craftyone - or an EPC. I hardly have any furniture now as I left it all behind - I've got enough money left over to refurnish. Fittings weren't mentioned at all, I'll see what happens. I will put the link on here once I've exchanged, I don't want to jinx it. One thing I need to do is make sure my handbrake is fixed properly, the drive has a slight slope!

So happy for you that you have found your future home, and, - as we have always said, properties are worth whatever people will pay for them. Forget worrying about negative equity - think that really only matters when mortgages are involved.
For you what matters is that you will have a lovely home, in an area you know and like.
Take a deep breath, relax and celebrate. As you have no worries about selling, your are in a really great position of just being able to enjoy sorting out what you wish to take to your new home.
Do keep us all up to speed as to how things go.

Shandy download the RM details before they are removed and take several copies of the floor plan.Mine was invaluable for copying at a bigger scale and manipulating scale drawings of furniture. I only had the one chance to position furniture with strong males doing the hard work and they are so quick, I needed to be able to tell them where

I hope you pinned down window coverings lampshades and carpets (if any). I too think she had a nerve asking for extra money but c`est la vie, some people are just plain greedy. At least now you know the size of the property and garden etc and you can start to fine tune your belongings. I am very happy for you

Shandy brilliant news. As soon as you have any paperwork fill it in straight away and hand deliver . Get in touch with your solicitor first thing to get the ball rolling and get a survey sorted out. Have the sellers found anywhere? If not are they looking? Anyway sweet dreams.

Thanks everyone, I am very relieved and just about to delete my 'searches' from RightMove and Zoopla. I do agree Ellianne, I think the popularity of the village plays a part in it and I do hope not to end up in negative equity.

I've just been out in the pitch dark in the rain with my big torch, there are five horses in the field across the river adjacent to the cottage and I can hear whinnying, unfortunately too muddy and too dark to venture in far and I can't see them. I've phoned the field owner, unfortunately I had to leave a message, but hopefully she will ring the owner of the horses. Hope none of them are stuck, the mud is severe after the recent rains, I'd hoped these owners would be more present, but haven't seen them since the horses arrived.

My youngest is in the middle of selling and buying , she might have a buyer ! And has found a place she could get to like ? , not sure if this is the right attitude , but she and the kids are determined to move
